Privacy

The short version: we collect your email address if you subscribe, we use it only to send you the newsletter you asked for, and we never sell or share it.

What we collect

• Email address — only if you subscribe to the newsletter or create an account. Stored alongside your chosen cadence and the page you subscribed from.
• Account data — if you create an account, your email and any display name you set, handled by Supabase Auth.
• Billing data — if you take a paid membership, Stripe processes your payment. We store only your Stripe customer and subscription IDs, never card details.
• Analytics — aggregate page views via Google Analytics with IP anonymisation enabled. We also count article views to rank trending stories; that counter is not tied to you.

What we do not do

We do not sell, rent or share your data with third parties for their own purposes. We do not track you across other websites. We do not email you anything you did not ask for.

Cookies

Session cookies are set only when you sign in, and are required for authentication. Google Analytics sets its own cookies for aggregate measurement.

• Resend — newsletter delivery
• Stripe — payment processing for paid memberships
• Google Analytics — aggregate site measurement

Your rights

You can unsubscribe from any email in one click. You can request a copy of your data or its deletion at any time by emailing privacy@overseex.com. Deleting your account removes your subscriber record and profile.

Retention

Subscriber records are kept while you are subscribed and for 30 days after you unsubscribe, so we can honour the unsubscribe if the same address signs up again by mistake. Billing records are kept as long as tax law requires.
